I just read about this picture on Facebook. It ended with a bible scripture.

This is a -mummified- rat. Bees mummify things that break into their hives and are too large for them to remove; this is to prevent the rot infecting the hive with disease.

I’ve heard of honey ham but not honey rat
Nature is wild.
That’s the most metal thing I’ve ever seen
F*ckin rat pretending to be a honey badger.
This would make a gnarly tattoo!
It’s DeadMau5
The last of us
Ok, one question – WTF?!
Well that’s disturbing
HoneyBaked Rat
The mouse died screaming, and the bees just said, ‘Cool, new infrastructure.’ Nature’s version of a death mask and a storage facility, all in one.
If I was stranded alone and starving… I so would.
Also I think this is when the rat tries to eat some honey, but the bees were able to paralyze it and now it’s part of the honeycomb.
It’s interesting yet terrifying.
Edit – added Gemini input:
Yes, bees can mummify intruders like mice or beetles, but they don’t paralyze them with a sting in the traditional sense. Instead, they kill large intruders by swarming and suffocating them, or by stinging them repeatedly until dead. Once the intruder is dead but too large to remove from the hive, the bees use a resin called [propolis](https://www.google.com/search?q=propolis&rlz=1C1CHBF_enUS941US941&oq=can+bees+paralyze+and+mummify+intruders+who+wants+their+honey&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUyBggAEEUYOdIBCTE5NTQ3ajBqNKgCALACAfEFtj37MtiAq3_xBbY9-zLYgKt_&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&mstk=AUtExfBb365_j7-nlJ1Ps4ZZlW-i19oqLibmuEqCwoVETkKfF0FnMSNDg0FdfNdVHRD59CzRUewLDcDLTA5197EYbNb3Ee89paNavwsthdL-px_iGFnknFXhXBIoKiRIUhuPObTC5NoJLaBeQJ-JWGy4Gk-NQ0aNmiO19NTh9OR8pXAQPWg&csui=3&ved=2ahUKEwiVtuzzxNmQAxU-HDQIHf1DNUIQgK4QegQIARAB) to seal the body, preventing decay and odor, which is the mummification process.
“on it is leg” is what you wrote.
I bet there’s also some honey comb on his gooch
Wish I could unsee that. Thanks… I guess.
The way he is curled up and his expression kinda makes me think he was yankin one out on his way to the afterlife

It’s a rat that was found in a honeycomb, if you didn’t steal the picture for Internet points you would know this. It was posted three days ago.
And the bees made honey in the rats ass
